Get Motivated!  Get Your Glow On!


Ab Machines, Crunches and Sit-ups Will Not Burn Fat or Make Your Stomach Smaller!  

The abdominal muscles are too small to burn fat. To tone your body and also burn fat do strength training exercises that involve large muscle groups--hips, thighs, back, chest, arms and shoulders. Use dumbbells, exercise machines, exercise bands and your own body weight.  Crunches may be performed a couple of times a week to strengthen your abs. Cardio exercises--jogging, walking, elliptical machine, etc. as well as proper nutrition are also important to tone your body.



Leading a healthy lifestyle should be your top goal when you start an exercise program.  It is important to have goals when starting a fitness program to ensure that you are moving in a specific direction.  If one of your major goals is to lose 40 pounds give yourself a realistic time frame (eight to twelve months) to achieve this goal. Divide this goal into sub-goals (lose 1 to 2 pounds per week),  and what exercises you will do to achieve this goal.  Write your goals down and keep them in a place so that you can review them every day such as the refrigerator or bedroom nightstand.

It is also important to schedule your exercise sessions in advance.  Write down the times that you will exercise and stick to your schedule.  Go to bed early if you need to wake up early to workout.
Make exercise a priority.

Eating healthy accounts for 50 to 70 percent of your fat-loss journey.  I personally eat healthy foods that I enjoy the taste of and want to eat.  Most people don’t stick to diets plans long-term because they are either too restrictive in calories or they don’t contain foods that you want to eat.  You’ll learn how to choose healthy, delicious foods that will help you lose weight, develop healthy eating habits (there is a science to this!) and create a meal plan for you.   Food manufacturers have found very creative ways to hide the amount of fat, sugar, calories and salt in their products.   I’ll teach you how to read food labels and uncover these.
